After the Dawn(Aur/Jake)

[Jake Ornery]

Jake looked up at the starry sky and looked down at his watch. He hoped he hadn't given Aurie the wrong information again about where he was, but there was a crackle and he swung around.

[Aurelie Bones]

Aurie smashed her way through the undergrowth, swearing under her breath. A smile appeared on her face as she saw that Jake was there. "Hey," she said, brushing off her white skirt. "What's so special about tonight?"

[Jake Ornery]

"Meteor shower," jake explained. "Tons of shooting stars. I thought that you wouldn't want to miss it."

[Aurelie Bones]

"Yeah, you were right." Aurelie gave him a sleepy smile. "That's nice of you."

[Jake Ornery]

Jake hesitantly smiled back and then lit a magical candle. The candle rose high into the air, illuminating everything with a pale golden light. "A dinner milady?" he asked teasingly.

[Aurelie Bones]

"Of course, good sir," Aurelie said teasingly back. "You look...smart."

[Jake Ornery]

Jake grinned and pulled at the collar of his white shirt. "Why thank you. Look, there's a river."

[Aurelie Bones]

"Oh really?" Aurelie dragged him along to it. It was a hot and muggy night, the air stifling with heat. "It's hot isn't it?"

[Jake Ornery]

"Yeah, I guess it is," Jake said, looking at the inky water reflecting the sky.

[Aurelie Bones]

"Then you won't mind if I do THIS!" Aurie shoved him into the water and laughed as he floundered around.

[Jake Ornery]

Jake hit the water with a splash. It was shallow and only came up to his waist, and was cool and refreshing but not freezing. Still, he yelled from shock.

After he calmed down, he smiled. "Then hope you don't mind if I do THIS!" Then he yanked Aurie after him.

[Aurelie Bones]

Aurie hollered and shrieked as she was dumped in after him. She landed squarely on Jake, knocking him back into the water. Her dress was soaked and clung to her skin and her hair was loosened, flying out in wet curls. "Jaffle!" she cried, splashing him and very aware that he was right under her. Blushing, she backed out and helped him up.

[Jake Ornery]

Jake felt himself turn red as Aurie landed right on him, the moon turning the water quicksilver. "I-euh-heh." She got off of him, and he could she she was blushing too as she helped him up, and then splashed him.

So he splashed her back.

Ha-ha.

[Aurelie Bones]

Aurie recieved a faceful of water and growled. "Ooh, you're going to get it now!"

Splashing him back, she laughed.

[Jake Ornery]

Jake snickered and splashed her back, dumping her hair with water. "Lucky I brought towels," he said.

[Aurelie Bones]

"Yeah, lucky," Aurie said, splashing him back.

[Jake Ornery]

Jake smiled and walked over to the side of the stream, pulling himself out. Grabbing some white towels, he started scrubbing his hair. "I'll make a small fire."

[Aurelie Bones]

"Don't burn down the forest!" Aurie said, slithering out of the water and wrapping the towel around her hair. Even wet, dripping and in the moonlight, Jake was cute, and that made her blush. "There's no need to explain to my parents why I was in the night with a criminal."

[Jake Ornery]

"Say that I kidnapped you with my amazingness," Jake said offhandedly, taking out the matchbox from his pocket. "And that I dragged you over here and was planning to burn you to death."

He lit the small pile of timber and smiled as it flared up.

[Aurelie Bones]

"Yes, because that would go so well," Aurie said. "Of course, I'm a witch, and I could have easily wielded my feminine charms." She quirked an eyebrow.

[Jake Ornery]

"What feminine charms?" Jake asked innocently.

[Aurelie Bones]

Aurelie hit him with the towel. "Shut up, will you?" She giggled and tripped over a log, falling on him and near the fire.

[Jake Ornery]

Jake turned bright red as Aurie tripped over a log and landed square on him. All of the breath whooshed out of his body.

[Aurelie Bones]

Aurelie felt herself turn possibly the brightest shade of red ever as she landed on Jake's very warm, very wet body, and she was about to get off when her hair snagged on jake's shirt button. "Oh crap," she said. "Um, your shirt..."

Jake smirked. "I'm not going to take off my shirt, you know."
