"Okay," said Jake, hastily steering away from the subject. "Do you go to this cafe often? Because I'm hungry and I have no idea what to choose."

Kayleigh looked at him, her expression softening. "No," She shook her head, and folded her arms. "I hear they have good food though." She shrugged, giving him a small smile.

Kayleigh looked at him, "I'm vegitarian." She looked down at the menu, "I'll have a salad." She said, closing the menu and setting it on the table.

"I tried being a vegetarian once," Jake said easily. "It didn't work out." He grinned. "Salad and a steak please," he told the waiter, who nodded and whisked off.

Kayleigh looked at the waiter, and took a sip of her raspberry iced tea. "Yeah, it's kind of a hard lifestyle. But I hate meat." She put her drink down, and sat back with a light sigh.

"Why?" Jake teased. "Because it used to be living? I guess I'll give up meat one day, but only when I continue growing. I don't want to be the shortest guy in three years just because I gave up meat!" He grinned.

Kayleigh laughed lightly, furrowing her eyebrows. "Yeah, um, I guess, It used to be alive. That just grosses me out." She shrugged, looking at him plainly.

"Yeah." Jake shrugged. "It grosses me out too, but the meat is too good." He felt himself redden. "I mean, not that it's delish or anything, but that it's hearty and it fill you up."

"Hard to choose," Kayleigh said, leaning in on the table, "I guess purple." She shrugged. "A relaxing color."

"I know loads of people with purple at their favorite color," Jake said. "It's funny. Sometimes I feel like I should have purple as my favorite color. But I'm a boy."
